Hey Mt. Lebanon Lacrosse Fans!
Yesterday the Blue Devil’s JV and Varsity Lacrosse squads travelled out to Fox Chapel area to battle the Shady Side Academy Indians in one epic evening of Lacrosse action. The JV Blue Devils took the field around 6:30pm and went on the attack all night and never looked back. They took an early lead and held that lead until the end with a final score of 7-2! The Varsity squad took the field around 8pm and this was truly one epic game. The Blue Devils would have a tough time gaining ground in the first half even with all the face-off wins. The score would be 6-2 after two quarters and the boys would have to re-group. They came back out firing as they scored 5 unanswered goals to take a lead of 7-6! The Indians would battle back and tie this one up and send it into overtime, and then a second overtime, and finally a third overtime would bring this epic contest to an end. Sadly the Blue Devils would come up short and lose this one 8-7 but this right here could be the game that takes them to the next level and prepares them for a BIG playoff run. It was one awesome back and forth game. You have to check out the highlights from this one:
