STATUS UPDATE: DELIVERED (5/10/11)

On Saturday, May 7th, 2011 I had the honor of filming Michael Leonardi and Kira Steele’s wedding. Michael and I have worked together in weddings in the past and I admit, I was intrigued to see how this day would play out. Arriving at the ceremony hall, the beautiful Calvary Church, located on the North Side of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A historical landmark whose stained glass windows are one of a kind. The back window portrays the apocalypse and is now known as the most costly stained glass made during that time by Tiffany’s studio. In 1895 it was completed in the honor of Bishop Matthew Simpson, who has been known to have spoke at Abraham Lincoln’s funeral.
To my surprise, the Minister, Reverend Larry Homisky married the two of them. What makes this so unique to me is that he was my Minister growing up at the Community United Methodist church in Harrison City! It was wonderful to see him again after almost 18 years.

Michael and Kira chose the Grand Hall at the Priory located only a short distance from the Church. It is located on the North Side of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. An absolutely beautiful structure with stained glass surrounding the room and a bubbled window allowing natural light to elluminate the event below. I would like to send a shout out to two vendors I had the pleasure of working with Saturday:

DJ Mark A. Zini provided DJ services for the night. Mark is an event Director, DJ/MC and photographer. He moved the Reception along and kept the crowd alive with his great voice and music mixing skills. I can honestly say he is one of the best DJs in Western Pennsylvania. His professionalism, microphone skills, high grade of equipment, and knowledge make him a real steal for any bride and groom who book him!
