Hey Pine-Richland football fans!
The Rams travelled to Pittsburgh’s Highmark Stadium, home of the Riverhounds Soccer program, to battle the Central Catholic Vikings in one awesome WPIAL AAAA contest. Both Central Catholic and Pine-Richland had been 7-0 up to this point and ROOT sports and several major news stations were on hand to see this matchup! The Rams and Vikings exchanged scores with Pine-Richland taking the lead 7-0, 14-7, 21-14, and eventually a tied matchup at 21-21 prior to the half ending. They would take a two score lead with a field goal and touchdown making it 31-21 going into the half. It wasn’t until their quick no huddle offense got the best of the Vikings as they kept that lead and added a few mores scores for the final score of 48-28 and now have the Conference Championship locked up!! Congratulations to all of Pine-Richland’s coaches and players and good luck as they prepare for the Peters Township Indians next week and then on to the WPIAL AAAA playoffs!
